Edward H. Owlett

Edward H. Owlett "Ted" is the senior attorney of the firm Owlett & Lewis, P.C., and now concentrates his practice in the areas of Estate and Trust Planning, Estate Administration and Taxation. Over the course of his career, which spans more than four decades, he has been active in the merger and consolidations of banks in the Tioga, Bradford, Sullivan and Lycoming counties of Pennsylvania. He has been active in merger, acquisitions and sales arenas. He represented Commonwealth Telephone Company of Dallas, PA in the acquisition of companies as well as serving on the Board of Directors of Commonwealth Telephone from 1953 until 1991. He has represented many and varying types of businesses in north central and eastern Pennsylvania. He recently retired from the Board of Directors of the PMA Capital Corporation of Philadelphia, having served over thirty years as a director.

Ted graduated cum laude from Princeton University with an A.B. degree in Economics and from Michigan University in 1952 with a Juris Doctor degree. He is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania and US Supreme Courts, the US Tax Court and the US Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Bar Association and its Real Property and Probate Section, and the Tioga County Bar Association.

Ted resides in Welisboro with his wife, the former Janet Evans. They have three sons, all of whom are practicing attorneys in Tioga County.
